Shopping helper privacy
Updated 21 October 2026
The ListTap shopping helper sends products you confirm in ListTap to your Woolworths or Coles cart. It acts only when you start a transfer.
Information used
The ListTap website stores linked product URLs, quantities, optional product names and images, and the saved Woolworths or Coles list URL associated with your ListTap user account. Product links are available to members of your ListTap household. Your saved Woolworths or Coles list connection is private to your ListTap account.
The extension receives your ListTap user identifier, the selected product URLs and quantities, and your saved Woolworths or Coles list URL. It reads the Woolworths or Coles pages needed to detect sign-in, identify saved products, set quantities and confirm the cart. The helper uses your existing Woolworths or Coles browser session. It does not request your Woolworths or Coles password, read password fields, or extract login cookies.
Where information goes
Product searches, saved-list changes and cart changes go to Woolworths or Coles through its website. ListTap settings are stored in ListTap’s Supabase backend. Product metadata, the latest shopping report, recent request identifiers and transfer status are also stored locally in your browser. Coles website jobs are kept in extension-origin IndexedDB, separated by ListTap account and household. Access to both retailer websites is requested when the extension is installed. Coles does not require a separate permission setup step after installation. Chrome may ask existing users to approve the changed permissions when updating. Coles saved-list and trolley save acknowledgements and update-queue status are read only to wait for the retailer to finish saving before verification. The transfer report is not automatically uploaded to ListTap. You can copy it yourself for troubleshooting.
The helper does not sell data, use advertising trackers, or collect unrelated browsing history. It does not check out, place orders or make payments.
Limited use
The ListTap shopping helper’s use of user data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide or improve the shopping helper’s user-facing features. It is not used for personalised advertising, sold, or used to determine creditworthiness. Transfers of data are limited to providing the requested feature, security purposes or legal requirements. Human access to extension data occurs only when you choose to share it for support, where necessary for security or legal requirements, or as otherwise permitted by the policy.
Your controls
You can manage retailer site access in Chrome’s extension settings, remove a product link in Edit pantry item, replace your saved Woolworths or Coles list connection, stop an active transfer, or uninstall the extension. Completed retailer changes remain in Woolworths or Coles until you change them there. Uninstalling clears the extension’s local data; saved ListTap settings remain with your ListTap account.
Permissions
Woolworths or Coles page access lets the helper operate the saved list and cart. Access to the ListTap page lets its button communicate with the helper. Browser storage keeps product metadata and transfer state locally. The offscreen permission lets a hidden extension document read public product HTML using browser parsing APIs; it does not open a visible tab or window.
This is an independent integration with Woolworths or Coles. Woolworths or Coles’ own privacy policy applies to your retailer account and shopping activity.
